Decisive Technologies is currently searching for the following candidates:

Senior Storage Architect

Required:

  • 5 years experience designing and implementing SAN/NAS Enterprise storage architectures
    including physical and virtual (VMWare) storage, networking and server infrastructure
  • Minimum 3 years experience with enterprise data management software, backup, replication and
    mirroring technologies
  • Minimum 5 years experience with enterprise storage systems such as Net App, HDS, EMC, HP,
    IBM and Dell.
  • Project management experience dealing with multiple departmental and divisional requirements.
  • Ability to consider and plan technologies from a business rationale and budgetary perspectives

Assets:

  • Bilingualism (French and English) preferred
  • Formal certifications in Storage and/or Networking Technologies
  • PMP Certification
  • Enhanced or higher security clearance

Backup Administrator/Analyst

Description:

  • Write weekly report on infrastructure/network issues and concerns
  • Analyses and documentation of tape, VTL and disk back-up systems.
  • Develop plans to increase network efficiency.
  • Examine existing methodology, incorporate industry best practices where required.

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in a large data centre, and be fully familiar with backup and restore
    requirements in an organization managing many terabytes of data.
  • Must be familiar with enterprise backup software (e.g. Netbackup 7, Data Protector etc),
    networking strategies and SAN/NAS architecture and configurations for a segregated backup
    infrastructure
  • Exposure to Industry Best Practices and experience working as a Team Leader would be
    considered to be valuable assets to this role.

Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Planner (Federal Government)

Consulting Opportunity through Decisive Technologies:

1. Business and Service Impact Analysis
2. Develop Business Continuity strategies based on BIA/SIA results
3. Develop written Business Continuity plans based on current PSEPC
guidelines

The consultant will perform services using the framework of the PSEPC
Business Continuity Planning Methodology.

The consultant will be required to perform numerous formal and informal
interviews with business service stakeholders and key dependency
stakeholders, participate in meetings and working groups, as well as review & assess existing Business
Continuity and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with, and knowledge of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Planning, from
    an operational business perspective > 5+ years
  • Excellent communications and interviewing skills
  • Experience in documenting and assessing business impacts and needs as they relate to BCP
    and DR > 5+ years
  • Ability to work independently as required within an established methodological framework
    ABCP or CBCP Certification
  • Secret Security Clearance
